Belphegor is a band out of Australia that many people have heard of because of their eleven albums that have attained widespread success. They have figured out exactly what makes a great song in this genre and they know exactly how to please their fans. The new heavy metal music that comes from this band, including their song "Apophis - Black Dragon", has all of the violent melodies, blasts of sound, and turbulent rhythms that they have become known for.

When songs in this genre have a powerful message behind them that is relevant to society when the record is dropped, the impact can be huge. There is no better way to get people to understand and believe in a certain important issue because these songs make their listeners feel passionate and energetic, and showcases powerful vocals. Body Count's hit track "No Lives Matter" brings the cold, hard facts about a very important issue to the main stage through Ice-T's frustrated and on-point vocals.

When Jeremy Wagner of Broken Hope came across some guitars that once belonged to and were played by the famous Jeff Hanneman from the band Slayer, he knew he had to have them. He didn't know what would become of them, but he knew it would be something special. That was when he and the band made their album called Mutilated and Assimilated, and he recorded such hits from the album as "The Carrion Eaters" on these legendary guitars.

Forever is an album by Code Orange that is just as disgusting and horrible as their fans would expect. The title track of the album is so chaotic and full of violent energy that it affects any environment where it is played. Highly distorted and with intense lyrics, this is a great pick for fans of this genre.

DragonForce has been around for a long time, and for a while, many people thought they had lost their sound. Many were worried that it would never come back to them, but they have found their sound again in the Reaching into Infinity album. "Ashes of the Dawn" is a great song to listen to for a rapturous pick-me-up.

People who spend a lot of time in the mosh pit are probably big fans of Dying Fetus. Their song "Die With Integrity" is great to move around to and physically express one's self. This song feels fresh and new while at the same time making callbacks on some of the styles from previous decades.

Anyone who knows Norwegian bands is familiar with how dark and intense they can be. Enslaved is a perfect example of this type of band, and their ritualistic and Viking thematic material has blasted the ears of many fans. They took a lot of care in making "Storm Son", so it is best to hear it with headphones or a quality sound system to catch all of the barbaric nuances.

Some bands never recover from having their lead member die or leave the band in some other way. Because of the way that fans often associate bands with the singer and the distinct sound of their vocals, it is often impossible to find a perfect replacement. In the case of GWAR, Oderus Urungus passing away didn't mean the end of the band. Blothar is the new singer, and he commands the vocals amazingly on songs such as "F--ck This Place".
