Female singers use to sing for Kings just to give you an idea of how long female singers have been around. Things have changed drastically since the time of June Carter Cash. The female Musicians of today are basically just performers not singers. When they go on stage to perform you don't notice their voices or their songs you notice their butt shaking and gyrating.
There are female singers that actually sing and don't act the way some of the others act. There are female singers like Taylor Swift who has an amazing voice and is also graceful and classy. Carrie Underwood is also spectacular and has the voice of an angel. She is able to keep her dignity and her clothes on while performing because everyone is amazed by her voice.
When these young girls that call themselves singers or musicians get on stage and shake their breast and butts all over the place to get attention it is just degrading. You might think I just do not get the new dances but I am not so old that I don't get the new dance crazes. You can do these dance without looking like a stripper.
I am a bit old fashion when it comes to clothes. I do not believe that you should go on stage in front of thousands of people in a bikini top and shorts that show your butt cheeks. In fact I don't believe you should walk out your door wearing that unless your headed to the beach or a pool.
I have tried to avoid the subject of Miley Cyrus but I just have to bring her up in this article. Miley has a great voice, great songs, she's got a really good personality from what I can tell and she's beautiful. So with all that going for her why is she constantly degrading herself on and off stage with her outrageous antics and her barely there clothes?
What happened to simply going on stage dressed appropriately and singing a good song with a great voice. You do not have to have trashy dancing and even trashier clothes to be seen. Aretha Franklin, Dolly Parton, Stevie Nicks and Carly Simon all did it without being trashy and became quite famous because of it.
These women didn't do vulgar dances or wear trashy clothing that revealed more than any woman should reveal to anyone but their husband. Female singers today have great voices but it is hard to notice it because of all the nakedness and vulgar dance moves they use in their acts. Every ten years or so the dances get dirtier and the clothes just disappear.
These women do not have to do things this way to be famous. These woman are famous because of their voices not because they take off most of their clothes. The voice is what wins over the fans, not them getting on stage simulating sex acts. I understand that dances these days are a bit dirty but you can do these dances without looking like a stripper. I can only imagine what the parents of these singers must be thinking and feeling.
